Meet our team...
At Peace Haven our team brings a blend of pastoral ministry experience as well as experience shepherding and counseling those in ministry. They share a common love for God and His church as well as the desire to encourage and support pastors in ministry. You can be confident you are in safe and competent hands.
Peace Haven founder: Bill Wayland, (Marilyn went home to the Lord on September 23, 2024)
In 1996 Bill and Gayle dreamed of a place where pastors and wives could come for encouragement, counseling and rest. After serving at Camano Chapel for 28 years and 36 years with Village Missions, Bill left his church to pursue their dream. They divided their property and the first house was built. Bill has gone through two burn-outs so he understands firsthand the pain and stress that comes with ministry. In 2010, Gayle passed away very suddenly.
In 2011 Bill and Marilyn were married. It is a wonderful miracle of God’s grace that brought them together. Marilyn and her husband Gordy were good friends with Bill and Gayle for 37 years. Her husband Gordy had passed away 10 years earlier. Bill and Marilyn fell in love not only with each other but with ministering together for the Lord.

Pastor Walt and Rosanna Jacoby
Walt & Rosanna served in the pastorate for 41 years, 31 of those as Village Missionaries. They served as District Representatives for 20 years, thoroughly enjoying encouraging other Village Missionaries in the Southwest District of Village Missions.
The Jacobys reach out to fellow Village Missionary retirees through an e-mail ministry that helps keep retirees connected with one-another. This includes remembering their birthdays and wedding anniversaries, in addition to sharing prayer requests of retired and active Village Missionaries. In addition, when opportunities arise, they host retirees in their home and visit them in theirs.
Walt & Rosanna are blessed with two grown children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. They enjoy RVing, travel, and gardening. Of special joy is when they get to spend time with their grandkids.

Bob and Ruth served for 39 years with Village Missions. In their retirement they have focused on outreach to refugees both in America and in Europe. They volunteer each year at a Christian center in Austria, befriending and helping families from Afghanistan, Syria, Iran, Ukraine, and several other countries. They also seek to come along side, support and encourage full time missionaries and pastors in Austria and in America
